Editorial policy
How we label what we claim.
SEO is full of claims nobody can check. On this site, every factual claim carries a label that says where it came from.
The four labels
Google's official documentation, its Search Status Dashboard, or a public statement by a Google employee. Linked every time.
A named study, from a named third party, with its date and method. An industry number is never presented as a Google rule.
Something we measured on our own sites or, with permission, on a client's. We say what we did, when, and what didn't work.
A synthesis, an interpretation or a position. Clearly marked as such.
What we don't do
- No ranking or page-one guarantees.
- No invented numbers, no invented testimonials, no client named without permission.
- No update dates changed to look fresher.
- No mass-generated content. AI can help with a draft; a named person checks every source and signs the text.
Corrections
When we get something wrong, we fix the page and add a note saying what changed and when. If you spot an error, email capitalseo.ottawa@gmail.com.
Who writes
Khalid Mohamed writes and signs everything published here. His background is here. Gatineau SEO, CapitalSEO.ca and CapitalAI.ca are owned by the same person, and every site says so.
Language
French pages are written in French, not translated. When an English term is standard in the trade (SEO, schema, hreflang), we keep it and explain it in one sentence.
